My father was in the Army for 22 years and served in Vietnam. We traveled to multiple duty stations, coast to coast, as well as Augsburg Germany. My mother worked wherever we were stationed. Her natural crafting skills in so many art forms is unmatched. She made many of our clothes when we were younger, crocheting beautiful doilies and Barbie Doll clothes to order, to help stretch that military household budget. She currently is an expert quilt maker and instructor! (When you visit my office you will see one of her creations.) In reflection, my childhood was developed understanding the importance of supporting family without question, defending our country, protecting those who cannot protect themselves, with honesty and integrity. Developing skills to adapt to new environments, which I fondly refer to it as the "Chameleon Effect", and using diplomacy in communication. I may not have "served" in the military, but I understand the meaning of "I got your six". I share these few tidbits of my upbringing to help you understand why I am who I am today. My dedication to helping my family is what brought me to the world of taxes back in 2002. It was a job of necessity at that time, but turned out to be my true calling. I became an Enrolled Agent many years ago, which allows me to represent my clients in the event of an audit. My passion to serve my clients the way they should be served is genuine. My husband, Ron, and our son Jon, are both Eagle Scouts. Ron works as a Design Engineer, and Jon is a Master Plumber. We enjoy being out of doors as well as playing cards or other family games. We've been known as Team Lucas when we're working on a project, whether volunteer or home. We just like to get things done right the first time! View more posts
